What Is Interval Training?

Burn Tons of Fat With This Advanced Method

What is Interval Training? As a San Diego Personal Trainer, I get asked that question alot. Well Interval Training is an intense, stop and go type of training. It has you going all out, maximum output, then getting a brief rest interval between these intense sessions.

A great example of interval training is doing wind sprints. Like a sprinter, you would sprint as fast you as you can for 50 meters, then stop, walk back to your starting position, then repeat the sprint. Now, you can see why this an intense workout.

Why Interval Training?

Interval Training is not only more intense than regulary slow-paced cardio, but it wil have you burning more calories, not only during the session, but for many hours afterwards, up to 48 hours.

Interval Training will have your metabolic rate racing, having your body operate as a fat-burning machine, and that is what you want. Just take a look at world class sprinters physiques compared to marathon runners. Who looks better? The sprinters of course, because their interval training works the fast-twitch muscle fiber, giving them that lean and well-conditioned look.

So, if you are really serious about burning some serious fat, then start doing some Interval Training.
